Mad UK competition entry

Hiroshima

Chinese New Year, year of the Tiger, project with New Bilton, Rugby. Drop in workshop with pre school parents and siblings. Everyone contributed towards making the patterns for the giant puppet. The session became child led and evolved into something really special. The children started by making smaller versions of the tiger from card, learning the technique. They then went on to designing their own puppets to use in a shadow theatre. The children made up a story and we put a script together, involving all their puppets. Fun was had by all and a big thanks to supporting staff from the Oakfield children’s centre.

Mad Uk, collaborative project with 'Junk Art'. I designed and made the costume while Shiam Wilcox made lots of her amazing recycled animals, which were planted in the audience for 'Coronal Badshot' to take a shot at. We won 3rd price.

Brook School pottery sessions 'exploring surface pattern with slips'.

Pottery at the Bloxham day centre, work by adult learners with special needs.
